Each year we grow a giant garden of our favorite vegetables. Most of our favorite vegetables are old time varieties that people currently call “Heirloom”. It is with great pleasure that we offer up our favorites for you.

The Purple Pumpkin pepper (Capsicum annuum) is a spectacular ornamental variety celebrated for its unique, upside-down pumpkin-shaped pods and a dramatic color transformation. As the peppers ripen, they transition through a vibrant spectrum of dark purple, lavender, peach, and orange before reaching a final, brilliant red. While its striking appearance and beautiful flowers make it a perfect garden centerpiece, it is equally valued in the kitchen; when harvested at full maturity (red), the pods offer a crisp texture and a sweet flavor with a mild-to-medium heat that sits just below that of a jalapeño. Highly productive and quick to yield, this hardy plant excels in containers of any size, though it becomes even more prolific when given the space of a larger pot.
