A sweet pepper from Landes in the Southwest of France also known as the home of Our Lady of Lourdes.The name translates sweet from Landes. It is a twisting, long pepper that when green has a very distinct peppery taste with a very tender skin. When it turns red, it gets very sweet. It is sometimes known as a Basque Fryer. A delicious sweet pepper, it is used in many Basque recipes including piperade. Can also be eaten fresh or sauteed. Capsicum Annuum
